Statement of Support

We support the NSW Disability Alliance “Stand By Me” campaign and their call for the NSW Government to commit to permanently funding $20 million per year for disability advocacy, information and peak representation in our State.

These organisations and their members play a critical role in upholding the rights of people with disability in NSW, assisting them to achieve access to education, justice, finances, transport, disability support and the physical environment. They advocate for people with disability in cases of abuse and discrimination and to achieve better health, housing and employment outcomes.

People with disability throughout NSW rely on independent disability advocacy, information and peak representative organisations in NSW, and it is vital these services remain to provide them with a voice, and support when they need it.
