Tuesday 10 April – #DisabilityintheHouse

SAVE THE DATE! On Tuesday 10 April we are inviting all people with disability and their family and friends to join NSW Disability Advocacy Alliance’s #StandByMe Campaign for #DisabilityintheHouse.

RSVP via this link so we know you can make it: https://www.eventbrite.com.au/e/disability-in-the-house-tic…

There will be a series of events throughout the day that you can participate in including opportunities to share stories and talk to MPs. We REALLY need to get as many people with disability as possible to this day to show NSW politicians how much advocacy means to you!

MPs will be in Parliament talking about the impact of losing NSW disability advocacy services during question time and you can listen to this from the public gallery.

Events will start at 10.30 am and go through to 4.30pm, but you can come and go at any point throughout the day! We will meet in the Macquarie Room at 10:30am.

Key times:

  • 11.00am Media event – presentation of the #StandByMe petition to the Premier signed by more than 35,000 people
  • 1.30pm Join MPs for a photo on the steps of NSW Parliament House
  • 2pm (Lower House) for Question Time
  • 3.45pm (Upper House) for Question Time

RSVP to #DisabilityintheHouse to let us know you are coming! Email admin@standbyme.org.au or call 02 9552 1606 to RSVP or find out more.
